Limitations

Before seriously giving it a try, be aware of the following limitations:

• Making slides with Slope can be very quite time consuming (the deck system is a huge improvement!).
• Since it is only built on top of Polyscope, we share its features and its (few) limitations: no multi-view compositing, no shadows, etc...
• We also share the general limitations of litterate programming, hence combining slides from different talks can be painful if you use scientific code. To alleviate this issue, slope offers ways to import/export data.
• Slope used to be slowly and poorly coded simply by the main author, but now LLMs are of wonderful use. Of course, they are not perfect (yet), and mastery over the codebase is more and more loose. If you spot mistakes or weird things, please speak about it!
